This week in focus
on the Heart
The human body is fascinating, in both its development, and as the vehicle through which our incarnation takes place. It remains a sacred temple and as treated as such, allows for further spiritual development to take place.
The distinction between movement forms such as Paneurhythmy, ChoreoCosmos, Eurythmy, Yoga and numerous classical/cultural dance and Martial Art forms, contrasted to some forms of modern exercises and the diminishment of the previous list to what can only be described at times as brutal engagement of the body, can easily be seen: the first not only supports the body's development and health, the other takes its toll through fast injury and diminishing endurance and ability to engage in the world and with others.
The health of the body is of course also directly influenced by the quality of nutrition, sunlight, air and water that cleanses, nourishes, and flows through each and every cell, as well as through the quality of attention, thought, reflection, and virtue that is developed by the individual human being - not to mention the social and environmental factors at play.

The envelopment of the heart around the notochord - which later metamorphosises into the spinal cord, hints at the centrality and importance of the first organ to fully develop: the heart. The heart is not only the first organ to develop, but also encompasses what later becomes the head - and therefore the brain, as well as inevitably the pineal gland which has by then already developed. The pineal gland is not of course an organ, but vital to the whole functioning of the developing human being and forms within the first three months of embryonic stage (the heart develops by around the 5th month, by way of comparison).
By the time of birth, the human body is both resilient and fragile to its environment. Rudolf Steiner, amongst numerous others, speaks of the importance that appears to have existed in most traditional cultures (across the world, including what we now designate as 'first world countries'): the embracing and protection of the baby from many external assaults - and in this, many Anthroposophists include early childhood vaccinations as inserting into the developing body foreign agents that may bring more harm than good at such a young age.
This is not, however, about whether or not to partake of practices that have become medically viewed as beneficial, but rather about what would be habitually done, within family and community, by viewing our bodies as that sacred space into which we, as spiritual beings, enter to sojourn upon the Earth.
The environment we create for ourselves and others, steeped in Beauty, has an impact upon growth, upon health, upon the ability to engage in appropriate ways, that is far beyond what we may at first suspect. And beauty has a response that is based within the realm of the heart....

Within Medieval (and later) Europe, the heart is an effective metaphor for our energy needed to the will to engage, for activity to take place, for the very possibility of seeing in the other the Beauty that resides within their very being. Without heart, without the EYE of the heart, there is no recognition of truth, or that which is good, of beauty itself. And from the heart thus flows not only the vital importance of love as well as that of deep wisdom.
And often, these develop through the pained or, to use Christian medieval language, the crucified heart, that of its own nature gifts its love for the blossoming of that which is to come - without harm to the other.

Spiritual Formation
Personal Development has traditionally focussed on spiritual formation. In the manner that I work, I include practices inclusive of imagery and meditation. If you are interested in finding out more, please be in contact.
Following an initial consultation, deepening work requires commitment for a once-a-month meeting for either 6 or 12 months (renewable if desired).

ASEA
Redox Supplement & Renu28
Much research has emerged over the last two decades on the functions of redox processes in maintaining cellular health. ASEA products delivers redox molecules that assist in this very process!
800% Increase in Glutathione Efficacy
Researchers at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) performed in vitro tests to determine the antioxidant efficiency of the body’s most powerful natural antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and superoxide dismutase (SOD).
The results showed significant, well-defined effects. The cell extracts exposed to ASEA Redox Supplement exhibited 8 times the antioxidant efficiency for GPx, and 5 times antioxidant efficacy for SOD. This efficiency was evident especially at low-level concentrations of ASEA Redox Supplement, tested down to 2.5% of full strength.
