This week in focus
Food and Plant as medicines
It is strange, in so many ways, that plants that were once eaten whole, or raw, or combined with other plants in a manner that accentuated the benefit of each, are increasingly becoming difficult to obtain in their natural state.
Witness even the provision of nuts: not that long ago, when purchasing nuts even from a supermarket, the nut would be whole - shell and all. The shell provided the kernel a level of protection from rancidity.
It is now more the norm to obtain nuts already un-shelled - and to make the kernel less prone to rancidity, most are sprayed with elements that remain, in essence, toxic to the human body. I have frequently wondered if that is, ultimately, the cause of the increased incidence of nut-allergies, the body’s reaction being in the first instance a response to the toxins, not to the nut kernel itself that. Unfortunately and with time, the body responds to the kernel as-if itself toxic by association.
Other plants, such as mistletoe, have been restricted even as a herbal drink in some parts of the world. I mentioned another time that I recall being able to simply go to a local market and obtain herbal dried mistletoe easily. Not so now.
In yet other instances, plants that may have significant effects - and hence formerly used as medicinal herbs, have been banned, though many are slowly making a comeback through worldwide usage for specific psychological and physiological healing.
Natural cheeses (from unpasteurised milks) and natural (raw) honey is becoming increasingly difficult to get, and for some of these, even when obtained, the animal has been injected with numerous ‘vaccines’ and hormones (in the case of milk) or the pollen obtained from plants that have been increasingly sprayed with poisonous and toxic substances (for the honey). Even the containers have increasingly become problematically made from ‘forever’ compounds.
There is, of course, much hope. And awakenings.
For meditative and focussed practice, many plants have traditionally been used, ranging from rose and rosemary, to holy basil, brahmi, gotu kola, passionflower, and lavender (amongst so many others!).
These, used either as ointments, drinks, incense or mixed with certain foods, may increase relaxation, focus, libido, or indeed a range of altered conscious experience.

ASEA
Redox Supplement & Renu28
Much research has emerged over the last two decades on the functions of redox processes in maintaining cellular health. ASEA products delivers redox molecules that assist in this very process!
800% Increase in Glutathione Efficacy
Researchers at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) performed in vitro tests to determine the antioxidant efficiency of the body’s most powerful natural antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and superoxide dismutase (SOD).
The results showed significant, well-defined effects. The cell extracts exposed to ASEA Redox Supplement exhibited 8 times the antioxidant efficiency for GPx, and 5 times antioxidant efficacy for SOD. This efficiency was evident especially at low-level concentrations of ASEA Redox Supplement, tested down to 2.5% of full strength.
